Survival Tactics[]

In modern-day Brazil, 125 million years ago, Beaky and her siblings (specifically they are Anhanguera) are situated on a nest. Her mother brings fish, resulting in the chicks fighting for it but to their shock the mother eats the fish herself.

The time for the chicks to learn how to fly has arrived. The mother forces Beaky's siblings into flight, who do not come back alive as they all fail to successfully fly. Beaky, being the last chick alive, is up last to try to fly.

Beaky looks at the beach below and sees a Crocodyloform down there, and frightened, she tries to flee from the nest away from her mother. To her failed flee attempt, her mother tosses her off the cliff. Beaky manages to fly a but ultimatively falls to the bottom of the beach.

She sees a group of crabs eating her dead brother. A crab pinches her and, seeking revenge, Beaky follows the evading crab but she does not have much luck.

A Crocodyloform begins to chase her and now she has to run for her life. The crocodile chases the young pterosaur but eventually chases the baby into another crocodile. Luckily, she manages to fly and also kills the crab.

Her mother calls for her to come back and to her surprise when she does she is eating a well-earned crab. The mother throws her out again after the chick shakes drool onto her, but it is now determined Beaky is worthy and capable enough to survive on her own.

Trivia[]

  • Beaky's name was revealed via a storyboard image uploaded by Pete Von Sholly to his Blogspot.
  • Beaky was the only chick between her two siblings that differed in body color and size, suggesting that the other two chicks were of different gender, males.
  • During their flight, Beaky was going to see a pliosaur hunting a pod of plesiosaurs. Unfortunately, this sequence was ultimately cut from the final episode.
