The Cretaceous Period was the most famous Mesozoic epoch, known because the creatures that lived in the epoch were giant carnivores and herbivores. The giant carnivores have lived on this period too, here is the Top 5 Greater carnivores ever: Mapusaurus Roseae, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Giganotosaurus Carolinii, Carcharodontosaurus Saharicus and the greater, Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus.
This period succeeded the Jurassic Period and preceded the Paleocene Period.
