The Pachycephalosaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur that lived 70 to 65 million years ago. It measures about 15 feet long and walked onn two legs. Its main characteristic was his stiff head, surrounded by peaks around. It was thought that this stiff head came from a genetic mutation in dinosaur, but today it is known it was not true.
Feeding
The Pachycephalosaurus is a plant-eating dinosaur, but there's some scientists that believe that it was also an omnivore.
Breeding
The Pachycephalosaurus probably attracts its mates with bright colors on its body. The males threatened to beat up their heads, keeping their head down. Only when males had equivalent resistance was when the fight began.
Episodes featured
The Pachycephalosaurus is featured in the episode "End Game". A young Pachycephalosaurus is chased by two baby Tyrannosaurus rex before Jack the T. rex eats them. Another young Pachycephalosaurus was being chased by a pair of Troodon. To escape, the dinosaur hides under a Ankylosaurus, but the Troodon follow it. However, the Ankylosaurus sits on one of the Troodon and the Pachycephalosaurus escapes. After the meteore strikes, the skull of the Pachycephalosaurus was found by the Troodon.
Prenocephale?
The Pachycephalosaurus, showned in the episode "End Game", it's the same model of the Prenocephale, a creature supposedly to appear on Dinosaur Revolution (however it was ultimately cut). Maybe the Pachycephalosaurus featured could actually be either a Prenocephale or a Sphaerotholus, a similar dinosaur from the Hell Creek Formation.
