Triceratops (meaning Three Horned Face) was one of the most famous non-avian dinosaurs almost ever since it was found. It lived during the Late Cretaceous period at the end of the dinosaur era. It was one of the prey for Tyrannosaurus rex.

Appearance

It was the largest ceratopsian dinosaur and hence it's name it has 3 horns on it's face, 2 above it's eyes, and 1 on the beak. It had a beak with many molar teeth meaning it was probably a herbivore. It was 29.5' long, 9.8' tall, and weighed 6 tons.

Life

Triceratops also lived with Pachycephalosaurus, Edmontosaurus, Torosaurus, Ornithomimus but there's also predators like Tyrannosaurus rex, Troodon, and Dromaeosaurus. It died out during the K-Pg exinction.
